Valentine's Day 2013 will soon bay upon us, so why not celebrate it #devart style with some e-weddings. `lost-angle and `Nyiana-Sama have been blessed as Official Ministers of Peace by Fella, and they are looking to spread the love.
So, it's time to pick out your dresses and suits and shoes, choose your best man or bridesmaids, and find something-old and something-new. It also helps to find yourself a sweetheart partner to get hitched to as well - hopefully you already have someone in mind!

this has been an amazing week full of great information! We hope that the articles we posted have been helpful to anyone wishing to learn more about DDs and processes behind selecting or suggesting them. So being near valentines day I've decided the next themed feature shall be CHOCOLATE!!

Why you feature stolen work?!?!Lately there seem to have been a few myths flying around in particular with regards to how we as Community Volunteers, give Daily Deviations. Many people seem to think that we sit at our desks in dark little rooms and let out evil laughter whilst we purposefully feature stolen work. The dark rooms and laughter - well I can't say yes or no on that one! But I can promise you it's not our intent to give exposure to people who have stolen work. I recently featured a piece of work that turned out to be stolen. However I went into extensive conversations with the artist before I featured it, and with added metadata and dates, it's difficult to know where to draw the line. I've given people the benefit of the doubt before - and it's worked out nicely as their work has been legitimate. Below are some comments I have seen being thrown around the past few days - and hopefully an attempt to bust the myth.

Why is that a Daily Deviation?Having read the title, you're probably expecting this to be a journal filled with familiar information about what to do when you see a Daily Deviation that you don't believe to be worthy of a feature, or impassioned reminders about the subjectivity of art. That isn't what this is about.
Being the Community Volunteer for a niche gallery like Darkroom has been quite an experience so far. I receive comparatively few Daily Deviation suggestions, so I devote a lot of time to hunting down amazing photographs to feature and making sure that I represent as many aspects of the category as possible.
The Darkroom Photography gallery is full of images created using intriguing historical and modern techniques that many people aren't aware of, or have seen or heard of but don't know much about.
